Leslinc Hospitality Services (LHS)
LHS is a registered close corporation and has been in existence since 2004. LHS main activity is hospitality, tourism and management consulting and is managed by Dr. Leslie (part time) and Nicola Leslie with over 35 years of combined experience in this sector. LHS has previously managed corporate contract catering sites such as WIPCAPITAL and has decided to divest of this type business activity and focus more on the consulting business. The main aim is to assist start-up hospitality (hotel, motel, guest-houses, bed&breakfasts and restaurants) establishments with proper implementation of processes and control procedures. This is a niche market and this service is fairly new territory. LHS is also in the business of sourcing and selling value added hospitality related products, such as umbrella and heater stands, with more products being added continuously. Dr. David Leslie began his career within the hospitality sector joining Southern Suns Hotels as a trainee at their Head Office in Sandton in 1983, and progressed through the ranks and into management.  In 1986 he joined Sun International and has held various management positions within all facets of hospitality. He joined Eskom in 1995 within their catering and accommodation services department and was in their employ for almost eleven years where he held many senior general management positions. He has won Management awards for exceptional performance and achievements in his career within Eskom. In 2006 he joined Standard Bank Group to open a new Global Leadership Centre in Morningside, Sandton, as the Director of Operations and is currently in their employ.
His research and teaching interests are in hospitality management, service operations management, strategic planning, strategic outsourcing and customer centricity.

His academic qualifications include the following:

    • Doctorate in Tourism Management (PhD) – (top 15%) University of Pretoria, RSA
    • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) Economics – Henley Management College, UK
    • Diploma in Management (DipM) - Henley Management College, UK
    • Diploma in Hospitality Services Management (DipHSM) – (RPL) THETA, RSA
